DAKOTA FANNING GONE "WILD"

Sunday

February 20, 2011

DAKOTA FANNING has gone wild, “Mississippi Wild,” that is. The sixteen-year-old actress will play the girlfriend of a teen Ryan Donowho (The O.C.) together the pair go on the lam after Donowho’s character steals some jewelry belonging to a local gangster.
The rest of the cast is rumored to include some serious Hollywood heavy weights; Mickey Rourke is slated to play the gangster while Forest Whittacker has reportedly been approached to take on the role of a rival gangster who is chasing after Rourke’s character. Robert Duvall has also signed on in an unspecified role at the moment. Bager will direct the movie from a script he has written while Shannon Makhanian and Ryan Johnson produce with Todd Slater set to executive produce.
“Mississippi Wild” is scheduled to begin shooting on March 21 in Atlanta, with a release date sometime in 2012.

Sounds a bit more promising than the "Girl's Night Out" project.

But not released until sometime in 2012!!!

As "The Runaways" has only just seen the light of day on DVD here in the UK, I hate to think when this will eventually make it into my collection of shiny discs.

Also read reports that Dakota has signed to star alongside Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff in "The Motel Life." She will apparently shoot "Motel Life" this month and
then jump into production on "Mississippi Wild."

Good to see her getting back to serious work after the "Twilight" cameos.
